Members of AIS attended the 'Safe City Plan' confe Members of AIS attended the 'Safe City Plan' conference organised by the city of Villamayor, Spain, in which they had the opportunity to present the lectures on "Action Plan for Social Inclusion" by Marco Roux, and "Guidance and Coaching for Families" by Illia Petryk.

They also had the opportunity to discuss relevant and current issues with high-level participants such as the mayor of Villamayor and the Mayor of Salamanca, Spain; the Governor of Magnesia, Greece; the Governor of Glais, England, and the President of the Teachers Union of Castilla y León, Spain.
The main topic discussed at the meeting was to increase awareness of how to support active citizenship and to live together as common values by supporting the development of social skills, providing families with the opportunity to participate in democratic life and social and civic participation through non-formal learning.

The problem of psychoactive substance use is growi The problem of psychoactive substance use is growing in all countries of the world.

Of particular concern is the addiction of children and young people to substances that pose a high risk to mental health. All across Europe, alcohol remains by far the most popular mind-altering substance used by 15-16 year-olds.
Consumption of any substances from an early age results in poorer performance at school worsens social exclusion and doubles the risk of psychosis.
The EDU MAP project team has been working hard on desk research to collect the information in order to produce the Reference handbook for substance abuse that should be ready in September. It will offer a comprehensive, educational-oriented approach to substance use, abuse, and dependence, with an emphasis on prevention.
This freely accessible book will be a great tool for teachers, family members, youth workers, volunteers and various NGO staff to use and will be available in Lithuanian, Greek, Turkish, Finnish, Austrian and Slovenian.

Please keep an eye on more information on the progress of our project.

Mediators and Peacemakers against Peer Victimizati Mediators and Peacemakers against Peer Victimization (MEPEV) project, as its name implies, has been created for developing long-term and sustainable solutions for PVB in schools by educating some students as peacemakers and negotiators. MEPEV project is innovative since it use peermediating in solving the problem. MEPEV primarily aims to transform the disagreements among middle school students into peace by means of mediator and negotiator peers, before they turn their disagreements into conflicts/violence.
